Q.What is the first thing you think of when you think of stripes?

A.  Stripes for me are a fun way to make a stylish statement!

Q. Are you into mixing patterns with stripes? If so, what is your favorite go to?

A. Stripes are so versatile and can come in different sizes, colors and styles so it's a great pattern to mix and match. I love mixing stripes with just about anything but my favorite would have to be a classic black and white stripe with just a little pop of color.

Q. How are you planning on styling your stripes this fall season?

A. Fall is the perfect time of the year to play around with stripes! You can wear a simple striped scarf, sweater or top to add some dimension to your look. Just keep in mind your proportions and shape to appropriately use stripes to flatter your frame.

I veto the old fashion rule that you can't wear white after Labor Day.  White is perfect any season.  It adds a freshness to fall tans or the richness of the jewel tones of winter. This sweater is my first cashmere and man I understand why it's such  staple.  It's rich color, buttery softness and beautiful shape makes it worth every dime. back to school ready  

My girls head back to school in a couple weeks and there are few things I love more than shopping for their back to school wardrobe!  They are my mini Barbies.  Capri is heading to Kindergarten this year and Peyton to Pre-school. They are so excited!   I love to shop for looks that can easily be mixed and matched.  I also like to keep in mind season changes and functionality.  Our So Cal weather stays hot for quite a while so layers are great for us. We have been vacationing like mad women since my hunny has been in the Sheriff's academy and last week we visited the sweetest tea house. It was the girl's first tea experience and Capri was in heaven. They of course had to wear their  princess Elsa ( from Disney's Frozen) sparkly costumes while I donned my new tea length striped dress.  It was the perfect sweet touch for the day out. I mean, is there really anything better than glitter and pink?! I think not!  I saw this hot little pink moto jacket and it had to be mine and the glitter tank was just to good to pass up.  I paired the two with some casual denim shorts and mint strappy heels to offset the bold colors.
